International work
The YWCA-YMCA of Sweden is a national youth organization but is also part of two world movements. The legitimacy of the YWCA-YMCA of Sweden in working in development co-operation focusing on youth in developing countries is based on the organization's own experience and knowledge working with young people in Sweden. The international belonging and the work for international solidarity and justice is an important task for the YWCA-YMCA and means a lot to the organization's identity and values.
The YWCA-YMCA of Sweden is part of the international organizations World YWCA and World Alliance of YMCA's. Full member of the World Alliance of YMCAs since 1887.
