A platform of communication

This platform is the YWCA-YMCA of Sweden's common foundation for all communication. It is developed to offer support and guidance when communicating within the organization as well as with our targeted audiences. We suggest you use this folder when you speak to others about the organization, during encounters and events, in printable folders, on the web, for journalists and friends, locally as well as internationally - it has been created for all sorts of communication! As a complement there is also a manual for you to take part of at www.kfuk-kfum.se/kommunikation


The Idea of the Organisation
We offer venues in which young people are able to grow to their full potential. We have an established vision of human beings as a whole and meet the needs of the youth.

Our Core
We are the world's largest and oldest youth movement and we believe in creating something meaningful for the current situation as well as the future.

Positioning
We are the best organization in Sweden when it comes to providing meaningful activities for the youth. Together we aspire to see a better future.

The concept of our communication
All communication is run through our motto - The Future Today (The Future. Right Now). This motto is used in communicating with all target groups. At special occasions when the youth is our target audience, an example of this being certain social events, the communication at hand should be complemented by the BODY. MIND. SPIRIT notion.

Our Communication Goals

  • To Know - That we are in fact the world's largest youth movement and that the organization provides the youth with possibilities to grow at this moment and in the future.
  • To Believe - That the organization provides positive values, not only for the individual but also for the entire community.
  • To Do - Choose an active membership, leadership or support the organization economically.

Target Groups

  • Children and the young ones: Primarily the ages 13 to 18, secondarily 7 to 12 years and 19 to 25 years of age
  • Parents and other adults
  • Mass media, authorities and decision makers, public opinion, organizations, sponsors and contributors

Main message
Our main message does not need to be established word-for-word, but its essence should always be established in conversations and writing. The essence is: Create some meaning tothis momentand to the future!

Supportive arguments
You will feel better when activated and interested in yourself and others. Young people who feel good and thrive will contribute to the society as a whole. The future is created right now.
